Woof,
I have a small break from playing and romping in the yard with Mama "Ham" so I thought I'd put my paws to work. I wanted to tell you about my first night with my adopted caretakers. I really missed my large family of Mom, Dad, 4 brothers and 1 sister and have been thinking of them often. Hoping they've adopted loving caretakers as I have. My first night I whined and cried mostly every two to three hours. My second night was better though, I only whined twice during the night.…

Well, I have great news! Soon, there will be another adorable addition to this page- a hamster! After vacation, I am getting a Syrian hamster, maybe even a long-haired Syrian, referred to as a teddy bear hamster! My hamster will be added to this page sometime in August!

If you keep fish, you need to know this because if you get this bug in your tank, you won't be successfully keeping fish again until you start all over! Have you ever had all or most of your fish die on you for seemingly no reason? Or contract a bacterial infection that appeared to be something like closed fins, red sores, a bent back or bizarre symptoms like sudden death or holes that you can't find in your standard fish disease book? Welcome to the horrible world of fish…

Last night, July 27 2009, we went to Bear's first class and I was really surprised! I knew he had calmed down a lot since getting neutered but he still surprised me. He responded better to the instructor than he did me! I'm the one that needs the training, just like Cesar says. I can't believe the difference the prong collar makes in control. Funny how a dog will almost choke itself to death with a choke collar, but the prong is self correcting. No more tugging on the leash during a walk and…

My little crossbreed terrier Tilly, whose book Tilly's Tale will soon be released by 4RV Publishing under my 'Harry Porter' pseudonym, proved herself to be a real star last night. we were on the field near our home walking our dogs, when one of them was attacked by a vicious schnauzer who pinned him to the ground. In a flash, Tilly ran thirty yards and pounced on the attacker and pulled it away from Jarvis, who is 14 years old, almost blind and very deaf, and staying with us as a guest while…

On Thursday June 4th. I took Bear to his first visit to the vet to get checked out. He's pretty well mannered for a 120 lbs. of muscle! The check up went well for the most part. The vet said that he was
crypt orchid, and that it should be taken care of A.S.A.P., as it could develop into cancer. I planned on getting him neutered anyway, so I inquired as to the cost.
Over $650.00!…

Bear's Story June 1, 2009
It was about 1 o'clock in the afternoon on June 1st, 2009. I was at work where I control access at the main gate of a corporate business/distribution center in the Los Angeles area of Southern California. Just as I was about to be relieved for a break I notice this full grown rotty coming in the driveway like he owned the place! I stepped out to stop him and turn him around, but he walked right up to me and gave me a cursory sniff. I held out my hand, palm…

My pit bull "Sportster" is a THIEF!
He has toys all over the house and the other day I had put a big box of TY's in my bedroom and I was down in the basement when suddenly Sportster shows up with one of my TY's in his mouth! I took it and he ran upstairs. A minute later he shows back up playing with yet another one of my TY's. I take it and then I go upstairs to my room only to find my door open and my husband digging in his side of the closet. Did you know Sportster has stolen two of my…

We have adopted Rescued Rottweilers for a number of years. I love the Breed although they are often misunderstood -
They are a high energy dog and need a lot of training and socialization - all of my kids enjoy the Dog Park and get along well with all breeds.
Precious and Magunda love to seek out the puppies at the park and just follow them around.
Rutger is still young and loves to play CHASE -
Pooh Bear just loves to be around all dogs and…
