Many of you know I love greyhounds and dislike raceing. I have written about my ex-racers before today.However the latest news is remarkabel. My greyhound Collins story is a rather common one for a racing greyhound. Brindle,blue black red and white a blur of colours zipping by at lightning fast pace the rythm of life these precious sleek hounds hunting the mechanical hare on the tracks the world over. Many loosing their lives at pile ups on the first and second bends of the tracks. Oh my Lisbeth, I just read the notice that you wrote about someone dumping Greyhound bodies in or near a ditch and am shocked! How could anyone do such a thing to such beautiful animals? Sometimes I wonder what on earth causes some people to do such horrible things, they can't be normal and should never be allowed to work or own animals. I just come unglued when I hear of vicious acts toward dogs. Gladys
