Rotts are great family dogs

We have adopted Rescued Rottweilers for a number of years. I love the Breed although they are often misunderstood -

They are a high energy dog and need a lot of training and socialization - all of my kids enjoy the Dog Park and get along well with all breeds.

Precious and Magunda love to seek out the puppies at the park and just follow them around.

Rutger is still young and loves to play CHASE -

I knew two males (Mutt and Junior) when I was a kid and I loved to play with them. You're very right about people misunderstanding them... and other breeds. I really don't think a lot of people exercise, socialize or discipline (firm, but gentle) their dogs enough, and when high energy breeds land in the wrong hands the result is all over the media causing mass hysteria and fear. Mine are taken on long hikes, to the dog park, swimming, biking, to pet stores, parades and events... anything to work them out body and mind while socializing! It's nice to see someone who realizes this too! Welcome to PetBrags by the way! :D
