Bear's First Class of Obedience Training.

Last night, July 27 2009, we went to Bear's first class and I was really surprised! I knew he had calmed down a lot since getting neutered but he still surprised me. He responded better to the instructor than he did me! I'm the one that needs the training, just like Cesar says. I can't believe the difference the prong collar makes in control. Funny how a dog will almost choke itself to death with a choke collar, but the prong is self correcting. No more tugging on the leash during a walk and stopping to mark everything in sight!
I look forward to working with him to get him socialized and well behaved! All the customers at the place where the class was held just loved Bear! There were only two dogs in the class so it's almost like private lessons!

PetSmart... It's just a real cheap basic class, but it's a refresher for me. It's been almost 15 years since I trained a dog. The prong is working great. Self correcting and really doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest.

Great to hear bear is doing so well! I am surprised they use a prong collar...not many places do. Where do you take him?
