What the dogs or cats wish for while waiting for that wonderful new owner

For every dog searching trash cans for breakfast,

a filled bowl with his name printed in bright letters.

For every dog who slept fitfully last night, chained in a frozen yard,

a soft, warm bed with a person snoring gently nearby.

For every shelter dog, spending Christmas morning in a soiled run,

a forever home, filled with sounds and smells of family.

For every "Christmas" puppy given today,

a tolerant, caring owner who won't abandon you as… Continue

HOW TO FIND A LOST DOG...

How To Find A Lost Dog

First, search your property thoroughly. Small dogs can get into some mighty strange places.

The point is, look in EVERY nook and cranny.

Look behind, under, and inside washing machines, clothes dryers, stoves, refrigerators, and dish washers. Look behind water heaters, in boxes, under furniture, under beds, in closets, in cabinets, in shelves and bookcases, in drain pipes, in sewer drains, in culvert pipes, under vehicles, in crawl spaces… Continue

DNA results are in!!!!!!!!!!!

Curiosity was getting to me soooo...... I ordered a DNA kit and we tested Ginger. We knew her parents were a Chocolate Lab and a yellow lab. The results showed 75% or more lab DNA and 10-19% Austrailian Shepherd DNA! Now that we know her looks seem obvious but before we thought maybe this, maybe that, everyone had an idea. To us she is still a Chocolate Retriever!

my feeling about my loss

in memory and in love with my baby raven, she passed 12-18-08 and I miss her dearly, I had to put her to sleep because of a narrow wind pipe in her neck that was starting to give trouble. I was very afraid that I might come home and find her passed on with out anyone home with her, that would have just killed me to see this.

So, when the doctor told me that I would have a problem and that it would come one day, that I would have to decide. I cried thinking of everyone in my family… Continue

In memory of my puppy for life

Your Own Grief

The death of someone who is significant to you is one of the hardest things you will experience in your life. Whether it is expected or a shock, the enormity of loss is something that impacts on you in a very profound way.

Grief takes a long time to work through. There are no hard and fast guidelines for this. It takes as long as it takes, but as a general rule it will take longer than you expect. It is important not to try to 'get over it' too quickly, not to… Continue

According to our experts, the danger of stray voltage on city streets can turn a simple stroll into a devastating event for our furry friends.

Most common in northern climes and urban areas, stray voltage occurs when dormant utilities leak excess electricity. Combined with wet… Continue
