Adoption is a beautiful thing

Each of our boys came to us in a unique way.

My husband and I had wanted another dog for a long time and I told

God that it would be easy for Him to bring one to the door.

And...well...one day...

One of our boys was found pacing up and down the intersection where we lived.

My husband had gone outside at a time of day that was not even normal for us.

He recruited help and we lured him in with a bite of chicken.

Advice for Poppy, again!!!

Hi,

We have noticed that Poppy has 3 small red / pinkish spots under her nose, just above her mouth. Not sure how long they have been there, noticed them tonight. She has been digging in the garden over the last few weeks and Dave thinks she may have been bitten by something when she was doing this, she does have a thing for putting her nose in where she shouldnt!!! They dont seem to bother her and she hasnt shown any signs yet that they are itchy. Can anyone shed any light on what… Continue

Titan has Demodectic Mange... and a general update on Titan's condition

Titan has only been with me since November 20, 2008, so not all of the bugs (pun intended) are out of his system yet. First, I had to put some weight on him because he was still too skinny when I got him. I LOVE MY LITTLE BOSTON :) He can do a reverse sneezee!

I always used to get really nervous when my dog would hold his breath it seemed and seemed to make grunting sounds...then I learned that bostons have what they call a reverse sneeze...I still watch him...but it was comforting to know what it was :)

Fish and Eyes devastated by rust poisoning

Everything died in my 30 gallon fresh water tank, including my beloved Rope Fish. I feel horrible for this because it could have been prevented. What's worse, I think it might be the cause of Eyes, my Leopard Gecko going blind this past year. How could I have been so stupid? Usually my pets live for years... some even live past their life spans.

Poppy won't eat!!!

Hi guys,

Can anyone please advise me as to why our Poppy dog has stopped eating? She is fed twice daily, Iams Proactive, which she has been on now since December. She usually can't wait to tuck in but, for the last few days she has ignored her food and not even attempted to eat it during the day. She is happy in herself and still loves being around us but she's just not interested in her food. I have tried feeding her by hand, she takes a few biscuits to her bed and then spits… Continue

Cat's Love Nice Weather Too!!!!!!

Then you need to try these dog treats that I just got in the mail from a wonderful baker. I got them yesterday and my dogs went nuts over them. The Border collie that I have is a very finicky dog about what she eats. She has always been that way, and sometimes she won’t even eat her own food.
