Sasha has had her operation - From Tilly the rescuedog

Me looking a bit worried for Sasha
Our poor little Sasha had her operation yesterday in an attempt to repair the leg she broke for the second time a week ago. The orthopedic surgeon had to open up her joint, remove the screw he'd inserted from the first operation, and then fit a new one, plus a steel plate which will remain in her leg forever. She was very groggy when she came home last night, but seemed to be feeling better this morning. Then, all of a sudden, blood started to come out of her operation wound like a little fountain. Harry rushed her back to the vet, who said she'd suffered from a build up of pressure in the wound, and the blood was released when Mum tried to swab her wound as advised this morning. They changed Sasha's dressing and we hope she will now be okay until she goes for her post op check on Friday. It will be a few weeks until we know if her joint is fully healed this time, so we must all keep our paws crossed for our little baby girl. Meanwhile, here are a couple of photos that Harry took of her when she came home, and also a little video of her pottering around in the sunshine this morning. (The vet said d she can have a few minutes of exercise a day).
Lots of love to you all

Thank you for all your kind words and good wishes, Kathi. She has indeed gone through a lot in her short life so far, first there was the life-threatening chest and lung infection, then the two breaks to her leg. Poor baby has hardly had time to be a puppy, but we hope, once she's recovered from this latest op, that she'll have the chance to play, play, play and enjoy life as any puppy should. We are giving her 24 hour care at present, which is tiring, but will be worth it when we eventually see her happy, fit and able to enjoy life to the full.

How much more can that sweet baby endure?  Please God take care of our little Sasha and make her well.  Brian please give our baby girl a big hug and kiss from me.  I can't believe what this pup has gone through. You have seen her through all of this and I truly believe she will be okay. Lots of love, prayers and thoughts are coming your way.
