Is your dog happy?

I guess the first sign of happiness we see in a dog is a wagging tail. My dog enjoys car rides and long walks on the park, sniffing on every duck butt and pooping on my neighbor’s lawn. Not sure why but these simple pleasures get them so excited. Sometimes I wish I was a dog. I would do some of the things listed above, specially pooping on some people’s lawn. What a satisfaction…But that’s not nice. We must teach good dog manners instead. The best way of doing that is bringing some treat in hand. How can your dog leave all the fun behind if there is no reward? Play fetch, hug your dog, and let him sleep long hours, keep him healthy, and let him exercise outdoors. Happiness is a matter of choice. Your dog can’t choose but you can choose a life of happiness for him. Is your dog happy?

Sorry,  I should have added that we live in the country and the pups have 5+ acres to run on.

Oh yes, I think my dogs are happy.  Very spoiled and very loved.  I feed them the very best dog food (dry) that is totally holistic, no by products just natural pure ingriedients.  I also do not feed them canned dog food but I do buy meat bones, pork or beef and cook them and mix with the dry the meat from the bones.  Yes, I think they are happy and I wouldn't want it any other way.  As long as I can care for them and give them the best that is what I will do.
