thiswas one day when i we wre in the kitchen and i was eating and of course! Smudgen was begging for my food! so i took a picture of her begging!!! she got her hair cut a couple weeks ago though so she looks a little diff but she is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harley Bear..now Hulk. He's been the best puppy, and everyone agrees. He's had to spend the night a few times with the family, and it's always so hard to get them to give him back. As you know too we do the monster trucks, (i'm driving now-yay) and he loves doing autograph session, in fact he is usually the highlight of the night! What do dogs REALLY feel?

Seems like every day I look at our three pups and wonder what they think about. Aside from food and playing ball, of course.

Judging by the expression on their faces at various times, I wonder if they feel sadness, frustration, anger, and so on. I know they live in the moment and so their attitudes can be fairly transparent, but I still wonder: is there something more that they wish they could tell us?

Who's worse off? Me or my dog?

Today at the dog park I got adventurous. Lewis was being shy, pressing up against my leg, while Winston was running around being social. I really wanted Lew to have fun, so I thought, "What if I start running?" So I ran. I was running along, and my dogs were chasing me. It was fun.

I live in Georgia, and the clay gets baked as hard as concrete. Lewis isn't very good at runnning in a straight line. He prefers to zig-zag, and he seems to aim at my feet. Winston also thought this would…

treats for dogs

Alfalfa Hearts

2 cups whole wheat flour

1/2 cup soy flour

1 teaspoon bone meal -- optional

2 tablespoons nutritional yeast

1 tablespoon lecithin -- optional

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

3 tablespoons alfalfa sprouts -- chopped

1 cup brown rice -- cooked

3 tablespoons canola oil

1/2 cup water

Combine flours, bone meal, yeast, lecithin, salt, garlic powder and

I Got To RIDE Today!

WOW! I actually got to ride today for the first time after a long cold winter. Indy acted as if he'd been ridden yesterday instead of months ago. It was wonderful to be back on his back again!

We'd only been out a few minutes when I heard thunder in the distance. Since I planned to stay close to the barn anyway, we stayed out. We got in close to a half hour before it actually started raining. I'm hoping to ride tomorrow too, but will have to play it by ear… Continue
