Regina in greyhound rescue there are a few uplifting moments which are the ones we remember. When the bad news overwhelms us and that happens too.The trick is to look forward rejoice when lives are saved and mourn those that diden´t make it and keep fighting no matter what the future brings. In greyhound rescue we learn early on that we can´t save them all we want to but can´t most of the time we have to leave that up to people who have bigger capacity than we do. We fight for the same thing namely to save lives even if it is  only one soul at a time. The point is never to give up no matter how tough it gets and no matter how discouraging it gets at times. It is all about keeping an even keel. We can´t shy away when the bad things happen we can´t stand idly by when greyhounds and other sighthounds are suffering without doing our best to save them. Even if we just alert others to their plight it still saves lives maybe not huge numbers but a few here and there keeps us going having friends to share it with helps too.

This summer is at an end it has been one of the sadest yet uplifting I have experienced over the years. This June I lost Connor In July I got Collin my old computer broke down and this month I got a brand new one. A few greyhounds have found new homes. Collin is thriving and has settled in very well. This summer has gone by as if it was never there. With great losses and yet so much joy and pleasure one being abel to share things with all of you here. Some good news. A track here in Denmark has closed down one hoarder of greyhounds has been stopped. all good news one more greyhound has gone home. A strange yet wonderful year. All my lads are in good health and happy nothing amiss.

Thursday of this past week a young greyhound nicknamed Smiler went to his forever home. I had been asked to find a home for him or he would be euthanised come July. I found a potential new owner talked to her at lenght asked a lot of questions and approved of her gave her the phone number of the owner they went to see Smiler on Thursday to see if he and their whippet James would get along and they did they took Smiler home. He life has been saved. Just thought I would share this with you. Happy Easter all of you and God bless.
