Pet menagerie

How many pets do you have? What's the strangest pet you've had? What would be your dream pet?

I don't have any pets just now, apart from the goldfish. I am so busy at work it just wouldn't be fair on a dog or a cat.

I've never had any strange pets. But my ideal/ dream pets would probably be considered strange - I'd like to keep llamas, and maybe a turtle.

Mia and her "rollover" trick

yesterday I started to intensely train both mia and jake again. Since i have been really focused on teaching jake new tricks I have neglected mia by ceasing to teach her new tricks and reviewing her old tricks. Jake's accidents! Notice plural!

Today Jake had a total of 3 accidents just during the morning. Don't know why, but when I woke up, there was on on the bedroom platform and one right next to the potty......Sigh, he is taking longer than Mia took. Mia took exactly one month to become fully trained. He's got about a 60% accuracy to date....That's pretty bad. By one month, Mia was at about 95% accuracy. I think maybe it is harder to train a boy as opposed to a girl. Mia was having accidents too when Jake had them. It seems to…

Double O Seven

Jake's potty training

We are still having trouble potty training Jake. He's been home for a month and a few days now. Mia at the same age as Jake was already fully potty trained. This was when we went to Malaysia for a few days and we had to leave her at the pet shop. When we came back, I remembered that she had no more accidents.

Mia's nails!

Today, Ethan tried to cut Mia's nails for the first time. I had done it before but because she was so unsteady and I was just too afraid that I was going to cut her that I let him do it. He did the front two legs fine. Just watching him do it made me nervous. I kept asking him not to cut them so close to the tip! Tilly at the dog show

We had a great time on Sunday, when we took Tilly, Dylan, Mimi and Snoopy to a Fun Dog Show, held in order to raise funds for The Mayflower Sanctuary, where we adopted Tilly from. Everyone enjoyed it and Tilly won 2 rosettes, one for 3rd place in 'Dog with the Waggiest Tail' and one fro 4th place in 'The Dog with the X Factor'. Mimi got a 3rd place in 'Best Rescue Bitch' and Snoopy was runner up in 'Most Handsome Dog'. The dogs all received goody bags for taking part and we're looking forward… Continue
