Unfortunately  a lot of the SPCA's are so totally overwhelmed that they don't respond.  No excuse though.   I have been trying for a couple of weeks to get them to check on 6 horses on less than an acre of land with no shelter.  I guess I will have to go another route to get something done, maybe the health dept?  I don't know but it is very frustrating, if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.
sometimes you can find rescue groups for that specific animal, dalmations, or whatever kinds of horses they are. maybe google horse rescue n see what cha find... gook luck! oh and thanks for the sun were finally startn to thaw out a lit!   :)

Maybe just keep trying what else can you do maybe take some pictures of the horses give them the story and adress through an email maybe that will get their attention. Never give up for the sakes of the animals in question just an idea. Hope it works best wishes and good luck all around.
Thanks Lisbeth, I will do that.  Pictures are worth a thousand words, right??

They don't have an excues! I think that they become ignorants at some point, when they are overwhelmed? Why nobody things, when the phone rings, that it might be an emergency?
i sooo wish i could get something done about these people it was 10-22 degrees for like two days and they didnt bring them in  they have dog houses but thats it and are chained up. :( my heart is so sad for them. i cant even look away. its people like this that makes our town get the reputation trash. they have a lab, husky, a couple(4-6) of really little dogs that go inside and i think at least 8-10 more that i cant tell what they are b/c im not close enough and i dont know how many cats and i dont think any are fixed. people should have to get a permit or a license and take a care class to own animals!!! by the way i hate it when people just own them, they dont love them or cherish their time with them.

Dear Crystal I understand your sadness and anger those people are thoughtless heartless souls to have those wee dogs inside and let the bigger ones suffer loneliness lack of contact and love heartless gitts. To let those poor animals suffer. It is heartbreaking. There is an organisation you could try to ask for help as far as I remember its called unchain me. You will need to google it. There is also Doubel day rescue. Try them both and see what results you might get. Let us know what is going on. Best wishes and good luck oh remember to take photographs as evidence. Fingers crossed for a good result.
