Our dear friend Brian Porter & his family needs our support!!

Hello everyone:

Please read the message below, Brian Porter  and his family really need our love and support right now.  If anyone has any ideas on how we can help please post them.  I received this message from Brian when I inquired about Sasha.

I know he and his family will be thankful for any support we can give them.

Thanks Kathi

Sasha had her stitches out today and is doing well, thanks. Another 2 weeks of rest and then more x rays to see if the joint is healed with the new plate and screws in place. Barney has settled in well but we are very upset and worried at present because one of our neighbors is trying to force the council to make us get rid of some of our dogs because they say living next door to all these dogs is devaluing their property and they also complain of us causing a noise nuisance, which is nonsense as we control the dogs very strictly re barking etc.  You can imagine how we're feeling.

Best regards

Brian

Wanda, that is exactly what we hope they will be able to say if and when the time comes. We have at least done something and even though we know the dogs were not causing any nuisance at all, they should be able to see that we reasonable and not nasty and foul mouthed like those next door. We are all so upset and the hurt seems to grow, rather than subside, with each passing day, and each empty bed.

Thanks you so much for all your kindness

Brian, Tilly and the remnants of the pack. X

Hi Kathi,

We are all devastated but we took this decision, in an attempt to pre-empt any decision the Council may come to if they do indeed investigate the matter. Eventhough we know our dogs are not breaking any rules, we thought that by making this gesture in advance, it would show them we have taken steps to try and mollify the people next door, and to be honest, the tension and stress in the house each time any of our dogs barked, even in play, was becoming such that my wife and me were getting paranoid. We are still living on a knife edge each day and just wish we could be allowed to live in peace with our dogs as we've always done. All our other neighbors say our dogs are no nuisance at all and we will hope they will support us by letter or in person if we do get a visit from the authorities. We were also thinking of the majority of our dogs too when we decided to do this, as we thought that they might try and force us to get rid of even more if we weren't shown to have done something. We miss all those who have gone every second of the day and will miss little Misty so much too when she goes to a new home. I can hardly look at her without filling up and wanting to cry for her, poor baby.

Brian, I can't even begin to imagine what you and your family are feeling.  I so hoped you would wait for a decision from the Council.  I am so sorry what you are going through and I wish you and your family all the best. It is very difficult being so far away and not being able to help.  Much love and hugs to all of you.  Kathi

We too wish something wold happen that would enable us to relocate our entire family, plus dogs to a nice neighbor-free place in the country, but, short of a big lottery win, there is little hope of that happening. We all feel awful and the kids are just crying all the time for the loss of their beloved dogs.

I'm behind on the story. Just want you to know you're in my heart, thoughts and prayers. I'm hoping something wonderful will happen for you and your family, where you might could move to some magical place, and be reunited with all. You never know Brian. What often seems impossible, becomes the possible and the best. Not saying it's an option for you all to relocate the entire family. Just thinking as I type, and hoping for the absolute best for all of you.

Thanks so much everyone. Ours is very much a house of tears at present, with my wife, the girls and me all feeling as though we have suffered a terrible bereavement with the going of Molly, Snoopy and Pepe, and little Misty still to go. We have decided to keep little Dinky for now and hope things work out. We have not told those next door about us rehoming the dogs as we are no longer on speaking terms with them and never will be. Living next to them is becoming intolerable and if we do receive an official complaint from the council we will fight it all the way. The longest our dogs ever bark at night is twenty seconds, the time it takes me to get from our bedroom to the kitchen and only then because they have heard a noise that alarms them, such as the cats, the fox, or even someone trying to break into our other neighbors' car as happened last week. They never, ever, bark for NOTHING. My health is now very much worse and my wife is also becoming more ill by the day. The stress and grief we are now feeling is like nothing we have experienced in the past and to se out two girls in almost constant tears is truly heartbreaking.

oh Brian so sorry to hear your news, about having to rehome some of your beautiful pets, somepeople [your neighbours ] can be so cruel and self centred, they dont seem to care who they hurt or by what means they do it, i know you shouldnt wish anyone bad luck  but i hope that someday they experience the same sadness upset and devistation that you and your wife must be feeling right now, i suppose  sad to say the only consilation you have rght now is knowing that your beautiful dogs have gone to good homes , im so  so  sorry my friend that it has come to this, i can only imagine what you are going through right now , i hope those horrible people that you call neighbours are satisfied and dont expect you to to rehome any more of your beloved pets, my heart goes out to right now , ill say a little prayer for you that this is all finished with asap  .....is saha doing ok   i hope theres good news there my friend , takecare   sharon xxxx
