Hello everyone:
Please read the message below, Brian Porter and his family really need our love and support right now. If anyone has any ideas on how we can help please post them. I received this message from Brian when I inquired about Sasha.
I know he and his family will be thankful for any support we can give them.
Thanks Kathi
Sasha had her stitches out today and is doing well, thanks. Another 2 weeks of rest and then more x rays to see if the joint is healed with the new plate and screws in place. Barney has settled in well but we are very upset and worried at present because one of our neighbors is trying to force the council to make us get rid of some of our dogs because they say living next door to all these dogs is devaluing their property and they also complain of us causing a noise nuisance, which is nonsense as we control the dogs very strictly re barking etc. You can imagine how we're feeling.
Best regards
Brian

Thank you Wanda. Yes, it would be tragic if their cats ended up as dinner for the fox, and the sad thing is of course that they don't even realize the dogs are helping to scare the predator away from our properties.
Lisbeth, I thank you too for your kind words and your support during this horrible time. I too hope that there may be something good for us and our doggie family at some point in the future, but of course, that won't bring back our dear little friends who have moved on to new homes.
The saddest thing about all this is that my wife and I have decided that no matter what happens in the future we will not be bringing any more dogs to our home, as we couldn't bear to go through a similar situation again, so once Misty has gone we will keep Tilly's Pack as it is and will cease future rescue work, unless it simply involves helping someone else to obtain or adopt a rescue dog.
Thanks Wanda
Trouble is, the cats go into action between 1 and 3 a.m. when it's pitch dark outside so there's not much chance of a video. Thankfully, another of my neighbors has heard them and is willing to say so and a number of people have seen the fox that visits our street at night too. Obviously, if the dogs sense such a predator my alert dogs (2 or 3 of them is all), will bark briefly to let me know and have probably saved the next door's cats from being torn to shreds by the fox on more than one occasion by scaring the fox away.

You and your family are in all our thoughts and prayers, remember we are always here for you.

Jen,
That is such a lovely thought and believe me, even though it's not a possibility, we both really do appreciate your sentiments so very much. The sun is shining here this morning, (it's 7 a.m. here) but, as Buddy Holly sang, "It's raining in my heart", and those of all my family. I've never ever known such feelings of hopelessness and depression. The dogs are also so empathic that they all seem to know something is very wrong, apart from missing their departed pack mates, and they are all exhibiting strange behavior patterns at present. If only I could get a winning ticket in today's lottery!!!
Regards and best wishes
Brian
If only I were a wealthy person. I'd buy you a home in the Countryside, in a heartbeat. I detest stuff like this.
Hugs to you all,
Jen
