Last summer, Mali and I were stopped in traffic. I had all the windows rolled down as it was not very hot out and there was a nice breeze. Mali was enjoying flirting with the people in the car next to us when she heard the sirens of a fire truck. The expression on her face was priceless as she snapped her heard around to look at me pleadingly. I swear her eyes were sparkling and she had a grin on her face that ran from ear to ear!

My family and I have been displaced from our home as we had a large amount of water damage which caused mold. We have lived for a few weeks in a hotel. This past week we took all three of our girls to Northern NY to a dog show as Rani was competing, and my husband and I had a few seminars to take. Rani was also going to take her adult temperament test at this time.

I had been thinking about training Rani to be an alternate for Mali as a mobility service dog, so since she was a young pup I had take extra time to socialize her more than most people would socialize their dog. She is not afraid of loud noises or strange sounds, large trucks, motorcycles whizzing close by, large crowds of people, horns blaring, the rattling of dollies or any other strange sound most dogs to not hear on a daily… Continue

Recently I had decided to teach the girls fun dog tricks. Mali and Rani know how to do tight circles in front of me. Mali learned how to make a circle around me and to then sit in front of me, and how to bow. Rani learned how to do a double high five, and a low five.



All three girls know how to jump up and take food from my husband's mouth. I had decided I was going to teach them how to crawl but it was just too hard for me to do with… Continue

When Mali was a young puppy she would try and hide her toys in the house, this would include an occasional chewy or bone that she tried to burry behind the stove or in a rug. As she has grown older this has not changed she has continued to try and bury her inside bones and chewys. Now Mali is much more magnanimous with her toys. Actually, she likes to share them. She thinks everyone should have a toy and makes it one of her personal jobs when she is not being my service dog to make sure… Continue
