Well, after much debate and scientific study, the answer is likely "yes". At least that's the story according to research from the University of California by Nicholas Christenfeld and Michael Roy when it comes to purebreds. The full study, Do Dogs Resemble Their Owners?, appears in the journal Psychological Science.

So why is this important to you? Well, if you're a pet lover like me, it might explain a lot. As you know, I have a miniature schnauzer and, personally, I have eyebrows that have gone wild. Have you seen a schnauzer? It's a scary thought.

So how do you resemble your wonderful pet?

I think I resemble my Sassy because we have the same personality. fearless yet at times VERY cautious, fun-loving and outgoing yet savor the quiet times. Loving and faithful always. And most of all , adventurous! ;)

now that i think of it, me and my dog steel do look alike and have simaliar personalites. hes friendly, protective, spoiled, and will bark at strangers but lick them to death if they come in the house or all bark no bite.

Of both my dogs I think I am probably more like Sassie. Quiet and laid back until something gets me annoyed!!!!

By the way Brianna, look at how much our two dogs look alike!!!

Why I think they are game little dogs filled with funny antics. Then I have to wonder how I resemble my lads. Three ex-racing greyhounds and one whippet. One of my greyhounds is a racing champion derby winner and winner of breeders cup. I suppose we do have one thing in common I too am retiered from a sport namely cycling. I was on the national team for three and a half years I retiered at the top of my performance accident did it.I did win the national championship in on road racing both the long distance and sprinting event. So I suppose that is what we have in common as well as being fast couch potatoes.

Lisbeth, I can't imagine you being a couch potato!!!!  You are probably just as lean as fast as your lads!!!
