PetBrags Pet Lovers Paradise: Pet Community for All Pets

Pet Community: Dog Community - Cat Community - All Pets - MySpace for Pets

A conversation starter's purpose is exactly that...to spawn
conversation. I'd love to hear your responses to these questions, and
perhaps we'll all learn a little more about each other (and likely
things we never would have considered asking.) This can be a central place
where we can come and not only answer the questions, but peruse through
each other's responses. Who knows? Maybe you'll meet someone you haven't
talked to before and find you have something in common. You can create
your own dialogue from here.

I'll list three questions. Feel free to respond to all three or any one
of the three. Whatever you are comfortable with doing. Hope this is fun
for all and, above all, creates some laughter and/or sparks some
thought. Don't forget to keep checking back to see what others thoughts
are about the topics posted and to even reply to someone elses posting
to keep the activity going.

1) Does your pet watch television? Can they tell when animals cross the
screen? If so, share a favorite story of your pet being a couch potato.

2) What special thing, if any, do you do with your pet for the holidays?

3) What's the best movie you've ever seen and why do you think this?
This DOES NOT have to be a pet movie.

Great questions.  Believe it or not my two love watching wrestling with my husband!!!  I don't know if it is the loudness of it or all the movement on the screen.  They also respond to any whistling, bird sounds, barking or basically any animal sounds like on Animal Planet etc.

I think one of my all time favorite movies is Gone With the Wind!  But then I loved Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Dr. Zhivago, Babe, and on and on.  I don't watch much TV but I do like a good movie.

Yes all of my lads watch tv with varying degrees of interrest. They follow the movement of everything going on if there is a film where a telephone is placed near the foreground my lads react both to the telephone ringing and the person answering the phone maybe they think the person is going to step into our livingroom. I take them for outings like parks the city for long walks places where there are other dogs and things happening just for the new experiences sights sounds smells ect ect.I think one of the best films I have seen in a long time is Seabiscuit it realy is a wonderful film in every sense of the word. There is a lot of films I love the classics for one such as My Fair Lady Sound of Music and a lot of others I have yet to see avatar I like Harry Potter as well at times anyway. The far Parvilions is another favorite its a miniseries taking place in India during the English colonial era.Seen from an indian /Anglo point of view. I like films that make you think and feel for all the right reasons.

kanga  dosent really watch tv  but certaind advertisments  catches his attention for instance the music sometimes he will howl at certain tunes, if theres a dog barking on tv he will look at the tv and move his ears and head as if he is listening

As for holidays we dont travel abroad but we do vist different parts of britain i  would always choose a dog friendly location ,somewere that kanga can have fun just as much as me he loves the beach on sunny days and loves streams and rivers

i think the most enjoyable movie for me so far  has got to be TAKEN  it kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through great actors  great script great story

Sighthounds are couch potatoes big time. At times they allow me a corner of the sofa. They love watching the telly. If there are dogs on tv they vigoriously defend our home and me against the intruders. They watch everything that goes on when the tv is on. if there is a film with a man walking towards my screen picking up a phone they tell him to go away. I never leave my tv on animal planet because they react when animals come into sight especially cats and something they consider chase worthy. They gather if I watch rooing greyhounds on You Tube and yes I have a rooer in the house namely Tristan he has a comment for everything we do. So yes they are adicted to watching tv. If I go anywhere the tv is on as they love watching it. They do not react to music at all not even high pitched notes. As for favorite films I like Bicentenial man it has some features in the story I like.
