I've realized that people usually think that having a turantula is bad. Well,I want to rant about this...what if I said owning a dog is bad because their ugly and pests. What if I said that along with 10 other people! Would that make you feel good. No. My turantula Sarah is nothing but an interesting girl. She just crawls at night. She gets bothered if she's blown on or if there is sudden noises. She has feelings. She's as sensitive as a normal human being. In fact, they're more scared of us. Think about it. A giant object(let's use the twin towers for the example) is leaning over you. Would you panic or feel a sudden stroke of fright? Yes! So if your yelling and running away or hitting the spider it would be
Ike the twin towers falling on you while 1,000,000,000,000,000 scream at the same time! 9/11 much? So spiders/turantulas/Arachnids are not so inhumane. They aren't "poisonous" they're venomous. I COULD HAVE TEN THOUSAND MORE PET PEEVES ABOUT SPIDER HATERS THAN OF MY OWN PETS! So next time you see a turantula owner think about the turantula and its own perspective and the owner. Don't look at the turantula as an enamy. Think of it as a small fancy furry kitten. Also think of the owner as a curious person. Hey. He/she likes to learn about other types of animals!

DONT HATE SPIDERS AND TURANTULAS! THEY LOVE YOU!

Also just a quick update on my personal life I got a girlfriend

I don't have any problem with spiders or turantulas,  just don't bring a snake of any size shape or color around me.  Actually I like spiders and find them fascinating.  They are amazing creatures and if you ever watch one spin it's web you will be in awe of it.  So anyway, like the spiders and the turantulas.

Hmmm....do tarantulas like to be handled?  So they enjoy the company of other animals?  (I am presuming they eat any insects they meet.)  Like most people in the northern US, I haven't had many opportunities to cross paths with them.

P.S.  Congratulations on the girlfriend!

Hehehe thanks! I don't really handle my turantula... I rather leave her alone she doesn't like being handled. She fathers to be untouched...

I never use the word HATE, but being that I lived in Florida, I respect spiders, as long as they stay on their side of the room, they had a job to do! Eating cockroaches which I dislike immensely .. We had a huge spidering our trailer that hunted at night, it was as big as a 8" plate, he used to hide behind the clock we would call it Molly!

An 8" spider?  That is huge!  I thought the ones around here that were the size of silver dollars were pretty big, but they are babies by comparison.  I bet someone like that could eat a lot of cockroaches!

if you think that's big, when I visited my grandparents in Colombia I saw a turantula almost like Sarah but probably 6x bigger. No exaggeration

Yep, the clock was as big as a large plate and you could see the legs sticking out! It was in a trailer on a farm in Florida in the 1980's., she hunted at night and slept threw the day,
