Please keep my Sassafras in your prayers....

My Sassafras has a very bad case of pancreatitis and needs our prayers. Cause is unknown as she does NOT get table food. She is fighting VERY hard but after 5 days still not improving. My heart is breaking for her. Her pancreas is at least 9 times larger than it should be and her tummy is very inflamed. Praying the meds start healing her soon before damage to her kidneys and liver sets in. :(

Sass looked THIS GOOD yesterday and now this morning the vet calls and says she not eating again...Ugh...up and down and up and down...it's like she can't process the food unless it's thru the feeding tube??? :(

Maybe with a few more days of feeding tube, she can eat on her own.

UPDATE...11/3/13 6:30pm....LOOK MA...NO TUBES!!! Sass is still improving! She ate for me again today...they removed her tubes today...praying she does ok without them...it seems she will only eat if I drive 2 hours up there to feed her myself...LOL...it's worth it tho...she may even get to come home by Tomorrow or Tuesday ( cuz she only eats for Mom and Dad) prayers working!!! . — with John A. Yeah, I know with humans we need to fast to rest the pancreas, so lots of fluid is key.. So happy to hear she's feeling better.. Giver her a scratch from Lelo, who would love her!!

Sassy is home!!! She requires extensive care at home with a strict schedule but we can handle it...sooo happy to have her home. <3. Thank you all sooo much for the prayers and support...it means the world to me!!! :)
