I'm back! :D

[Winter's Morning]

Hey Everyone! I know it's been just ages since I've been online. Sorry I haven't been able to talk to you all. :( (There have been some family things going on that have taken my attention.) Anyway, things have calmed down now and I'll be able to log on more often. I have great news! My hubby and I have adopted another dog. He overheared a co-worker talking about a chihuahua she was just going to 'let go.' (More out of ignorance than cruelty on her part.) A stranger had just given her the dog out of the blue and she, not being an animal person, didn't really want to keep her. So now she's part of our family. We've named her Zola and other than being a bit thin, the vet says she's healthy and guesses her to be about three years old. Below is a picture of her and my Mom-in-law's dog, Archer modeling their new clothes. (She's the one on the right.)

(If you can't tell from the picture, she's not a purebred chihuahua, she's half dachshund. A chiweenie, lol.)

[Winter's Morning]

She's such a sweet girl. I can't imagine anyone giving her up. She's doesn't bark unless someone comes to the door. Her favorite spot is a warm lap and she gets along just great with Jezzie. (Jez is very gentle when she plays.) Her biggest issue is seperation anxiety. We left her alone for the first time last night and she pottied on the floor. When we came home she was so happy she could hardly contain herself! She cried and cried and tried to get as close as possible to me. (She and I have developed a strong bond.) It makes me wonder what she must have been put through before. I'm afraid someone tried to crop her ears. One of them is badly scared and she's terrified of sissors. Hopefully with time though, she'll learn that we'll never hurt her or leave her. She has a stable life now and we love her! :)

awwwww, how adorable - - both of them! So great to hear from you Winter! Glad to hear you are gonna be around more. We have definitely missed you. Congratulations on your new family addition, and God Bless you for giving her a good home!
