Was the arrival of your Pet Kid(s) planned or is there a story?: Mostly planned. We knew we were getting a puppy, but at the same time, things were kind of hectic as we had just gotten married. My husband and I struggle with infertility, and we really want to start a family. Now that Minion is here, I feel as if our family has just begun and can only get bigger!

This year was Minion's first Christmas, oh it was so cute! She tore right into her gift and opened it all by herself!

We got the last of her booster shots the end of November, along with her Rabies shot. She weighed 16 pounds then, I'm sure she's close to 20 now.

Thanksgiving was ok. It’s always nice to see family, but my grandmother wouldn’t allow us to bring Minion, so we had to leave her home. It was only for a couple hours, and when we got back, it was all Minions’ time. She’s getting so big, we to her to the vet this weekend for her final booster shot, she’s up to 16 pounds! I just wanted to thank everyone for their warm thoughts. I think the thing that upset me the most was seeing Tiger laying there struggling to hold on, because it was a perfect rendition of seeing our first dog die. I have special animals that have passed that certain songs can bring back memories. Is that not silly? But my way of dealing with the loss was to play these songs and remember the times we shared. Eventually I didn't play the songs as often and the grief grew less. But it took time. To this day, I can hear Dan Fogleburgs "Run for the Roses" or Rod Stewarts "Have I Told You Latey" and a slight twinge of sadness tugs at my heart for these dearly loved animals. My deepest sympathies.
