ShortyLong, Born March 97, I Rescued Him From A Neglectful Neighbor When He Was A Year old.

Yardley, I rescued in May 07, he was trying to survive in my yard, terrified of all the feral cats that were trying to get him, and afraid of people also.
It took me a month to catch him, and just in time, he was loaded with several kinds of worms, upper respiratory, and urinary tract infection.
Took him to the vet, and he is just fine now. Since he was trying to survive in my yard, I named him Yardley, which after trying several other names for him, Yardley was the only one he responded to.

Pepper was picked up with another white cat on a highway, by Kitty Korner Rescue.
They named her Pepper and him Salt, They were being fostered at my vets office for adoption, Salt was adopted, and then Pepper, but that person brought Pepper back claiming to have allergies. I found out about Pepper when I was considering adopting these two kittens from a litter found under the boardwalk in Atlantic City, being displayed in the waiting room in a cage, when the receptionist said we have another older cat, about 4 Yrs, old in the back, and I asked to see her.
When they told me she was adopted, then brought back, and has been living there in a cage for almost a year, I immediately said I'll take her home with me.
She is very happy in her forever home now, and really enjoys her porch time.
I call her Pepper Corns, adopted August 07

Snuggles, and ShyGuy, are the two kittens from the litter found under the boardwalk in A.C. that I first saw before Pepper, and a few days after adopting Pepper I offered to adopt them as well, but the adoption agency said they only adopt out one cat at a time, and didn't think it was a good idea.
I had brought photos of Pepper enjoying her new home to the vets office, because she was there so long, and she would be missed by the staff, well about 3 weeks after adopting Pepper the woman that runs Kitty Korner Adoptions called me and told me the entire staff at the vets office, as well as the Doctor, are advocating that I allow this adoption.
She assured me she, never, ever adopts out more than one cat at a time to anyone, but after seeing the photos of Pepper's exceptional new home, that if I was still interested in the two male kittens, she was willing to make this one and only exception and allow me to adopt them as well.
They are all a very happy family now, and are having loads of fun playing.

National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat Site. # 20402

Rather than trying to peel an onion, I will say that I am universal. Born and raised in Brooklyn N.Y. I live in southern N.J. on a 1/4 acre property that is a certified National Wildlife Federation Backyard Habitat Site. There was nothing here but one dogwood tree when I bought the house, and now the foliage engulfs the entire house and property.
I attract a great deal of wildlife here, and provide food, water, shelter, and a place to raise their young,
Bugs that may find their way into my house, are safely captured in a clear plastic container, and are set free outside.
My income is very modest, and I do without a lot, so the wildlife can have a little help to survive.
I love all animals, and treat them as my children, when I was married to a veterinarian, I rescued every animal I could, if I had it for more than an hour it was mine, and became a member of my animal family. Walking around the house was like walking through a herd of sheep.
I have a special love for wolves, and feel that the wolf spirit and my own are as one.
