So i have been experimenting with cake mixes, and i have found a few tricks to them, if its vanilla cake, add a total of 4 eggs instead of 3, add milk instead of water, add tspn of vanilla extract, and add 1/2 cup of 14% sour cream, and the oil, mix as directed, sour cream makes cakes come out soft. also don;t over cook them, usually 30min 8" to 9" oiled and floured rounds.,350 degree oven

Chocolate cake, make as directed and add 1 cup of 14% sour cream, chocolate milk or white milk sub for the water, and add 1 more egg as well so its 4 eggs in total. Perfect cake every time. If this is the milk chocolate cake, add some milk chocolate chips to the center of the cake, as you ice the cake in the middle, as the sour cream does dilute the flavor of the cake! I like use vanilla frosting on a chocolate cake and also coconut shredded in between is so good!

Chocolate Surprise cake- is a fudge chocolate cake mix, add 1 cup of 14% sour cream, add 1/2 cup of Irish cream liqueur (Baileys) in place of water/milk, and then add the remainder of liquid in recipe in milk, extra egg as well. The taste of the Baileys or irish cream should be for adults.350 degree oven and the cakes will be higher, so check with a tooth pick!
Enjoy Wanda
