My Sassafras has a very bad case of pancreatitis and needs our prayers. Cause is unknown as she does NOT get table food. She is fighting VERY hard but after 5 days still not improving. My heart is breaking for her. Her pancreas is at least 9 times larger than it should be and her tummy is very inflamed. Praying the meds start healing her soon before damage to her kidneys and liver sets in. :(

Hi Jacque,

So great to know she's home, prayers answered for sure. WOW, seeing the meds sure puts it into perspective, just how sick the little girl has been. Looks like she has a way to go, but seeing full recovery at the end of tunnel. Hang in there. I know it's not easy, especially the shots.

God Bless,

Jen

Oh my!!!  I don't think I could administer an injection like you are doing!!!

Ugh...how loooong does it take to administer 100 ML of sub-cutaneous fluids in a tiny dog??? LOL... A looong time.
Thanks Jen... Actually the pills are the hardest part...she takes the shots well...she doesn't like to be still long enough during her fluids but outside of that she is REALLY doing well at home...at least she will eat more often...just giving her very small amount at a time . I am THRILLED with her progress and to have my baby girl home again!!! <3

Hi Jacque,

I bet! Although little Tillie would cry from time to time when I gave her the insulin shots (which breaks my heart to this day), it was still easier than getting a bunch of pills down.

I know you are thrilled, and so happy for you all. Still praying for her continued and quick recovery.

Hugs to little Sassafras!

Jen

Hi Jacque, my zena took shots twice a day for 7 years, we would rub the area and break up the scar tissue. I know how hard it is. Have the vet keep an eye on her eyes, as they tend to get cataracts which drops can help slow the process down. No one told me that until zena was blind.. So happy to hear, she's home and doing well!

Sass is continuing to do well so far. :)). She has to go back to the vet Wednesdayfor blood work and sonogram to see her progress. I am so proud of her! But seriously...to GOD be the glory. :)

AMEN! So wonderful to hear! God is good!

Prayers are answered Jacque!  Give Sass a big hug and kiss from me.  Take care.

Woohoo!!! Sass did good with her test results!!!! Docs are amazed at her progress! I am convinced it is Divine Intervention due to all the prayers she has had from everyone! Thank you ALL sooo much! It means the world to me! She doesn't have to go back now for 4 weeks! Then she gets follow up blood work and another sonogram to make sure she is still healing. X's and O's to all of you!!! :)
So happy for you, have a wonderful weekend!! Hugs Wanda/Lelo!
