I'm back! :D

Hey Everyone! I know it's been just ages since I've been online. Sorry I haven't been able to talk to you all. :( (There have been some family things going on that have taken my attention.) Anyway, things have calmed down now and I'll be able to log on more often. I have great news! My hubby and I have adopted another dog. He overheared a co-worker talking about a chihuahua she was just going to 'let go.' (More out of ignorance than cruelty on her part.) A stranger…

Hallelujah!!!

The Hallelujah concert that our class did in December was fabulous. We had to sing songs to a HUGE audience in the RDS in Dublin with 100's of other schools. We sang songs like High School Musical and the Pink Panther.

I Believe Pets are truly Angels

My name is Barbara. I'm new and very glad to be here! I'll be uploading pictures and more info soon.

I'm looking forward to reading everyone's stories about their pets. I have some great ones. Would you believe that my cat, Binky, brought me love from heaven after she died? At least five or six times. This was her gift to me: to prove to me that our pets DO go to heaven. Her visitations were the strongest ones I'd ever had from the garden of souls.

Christ said that God has many…

English Mastiffs

All about English Mastiffs

The Mastiff is a mix of grandeur, dignity, gentleness and courage. It has been nicknamed the Gentle Giant and is calm and affectionate to its master, but capable of protection. If an unfamiliar person approaches near their perceived territory or its master, the Mastiff will immediately position themselves between its master and the stranger. MY BABY BUSTER

On the 29th May my lovely dog Buster sadly passed away he was a special dog more like my brother than a pet to me and my family. I feel like a whole HUGE chunk of my life has gone to heaven with him.

Buster got put down at the local vets because he has cancer in his liver and it spread quite alot and they couldnt do anything for him, so it was either to let him suffer while the cancer was eating him away inside or put him down…

Quotation of the Month - June

"Although the relationship (between woman and horse) has long been
celebrated and frequently analyzed, it's unlikely anyone will ever
fully understand it."

It's a sad day.

I knew the day would come, but it's never easy when it does. I had to say goodbye today to my boy Max. He has been going slowly downhill for the past 4 or 5 months, and today when I got home I found him in the backyard with his hind legs sprawled out from underneath him. He was so weak he couldn't get up on his own. So about 5:10 pm I took him to the local VCA Vet office and had him put to sleep. It was the second hardest thing I've ever had to do. To sign the…

My new lion fish, and a new found toad

The place I'm looking to get a job at has had a beautiful Black Volitan Lion Fish for over two months. I wanted it since I saw it about 2 weeks ago. I got $80 total for my 20th birthday and I decided to go get that fish! Mum and I have had a Lion Fish before... same kind, and he was HUGE. This one is a baby, and very hungry... I added some pictures of it while it's still small because they grow very fast. Snuggles and Stripe have taken well to the new addition, and to Snuggles, it should be a… Continue

Pepper: A New Happy Dog

THE OLD PEPPER:

Pepper came to us at 8 weeks old when granny came for a visit. He bonded with me and we played a lot until I went to a math and science boarding high school. I had to be gone all week each week, so he turned to mum. He had all the love he could ever want, but mum always babied him and got him excited. He was obedient in the house too... sit, stay, come, stand, etc. What was missing? Socialization with other dogs, people and kids. Walks with Pepper were just terrible.… Continue

Pet Peeve: Over-breeding

Eight Belles was put down after racing with colts in the most recent Kentucky Derby. The news reported that race horses are being put down more and more due to the increasing number of injuries. According to CNN, these injuries could be due to over-breeding which is causing less soundness in the horse.

Puppy mills are notorious! Look at the country's most popular dog breeds... They all have major inheritable genetic health problems because after you breed a bitch so many times, she… Continue
