Children don't see the language of your pet as you do.

 

Example: Your walking your dog, walk to a house with children by it. They ask to pet your dog, you say yes. They pet your dog, and the dog wags with happiness.

 

Thats whats suppose to happen, usauly.

Children need to now body language early. I teach my 6 year old sister when to pet and not pet a dog.
