Happy wife and very content mamma with a wonderful husband (who work from home) and all our fur kids around us. Happy simple but full life!

Was the arrival of your Pet Kid(s) planned or is there a story?

Bozo and Shadow were kind of surprise. Not planned by us but were accepted by us with joy. Gamine was planned. Mocha and Thalie were planned by me and accepted by my DH as soon as he saw them! They are both rescue.

Mocha's mom was a feral cat that was rescue by a lady who already had many too much cats. Mocha was born under a deck and was rescue at 6 weeks with her mom and sibling. I got her at 8 weeks.

Thalie is a puppy mill rescue. She was in a enclosure with her mom and sibling since her birth, not in a wire cage thanks goodness. She was allowed to go outside with her family for ten to fifteen minutes every day or almost. She was rescue by a wonderful rescue group name Joyful rescue at 6 months of age. She was dirty, shy and not human socialize at all. Matter of fact she was scare of all women and most men but very happy with other dogs. I went to Cuba, NY to pick her up and i had to keep my windows open all the time on our way back because of the smell and the rescue gave her a bath the morning before I pick her up!! It was a two hours drive. I had to stop to pick up my husband and our Golden Gamine t his office. As soon as Thalie saw Gamine she run to her and never left her side since that day!

Gamine housetrained her in only one day! It took her several months to get use of strangers coming in our house. She is still very shy if she doesn't know them well. She is a sweet little clown and is now very well adjusted to a normal life with tons of love and attention.

Likes:

The cats: Cuddle on our laps, play with their little toys... if the dogs let them do so.
The dogs: Cuddle with us on the couch or bed for Thalie, playing with tennis ball for Thalie and other toys for Gamine, going for a walk, stopping by the park for a good run, having fun with the hose for Gamine, not so much for Thalie and many, many more other things.

Pet-Peeves:

Thalie will bark if she is too nervous or excited. Gamine will insist of being pet or taking care of every night just because she want us to go to bed... Mocha will wake us up because she want to sleep on us in a middle of the night, Bozo will miaou all the time for food (he is on thyroid medications) with no patience at all, Shadow will park himself just in front of you if you carry something so you will fall down... All those things we are taking it as blessing more than peeves

My Favorite Toys:

Gamine: Two big stuffed doggies that she will carry all over and will suck on their back paws before napping.
Thalie: HER tennis ball and the head of an octopus she had as first toy.
Bozo: little ball he use to run after.
Shadow: was not use to play. (was rescue from our own son' family :( who abandoned him so they could have a dog )
Mocha: our hands under the blanket, her little toys. Being run after by Thalie and hide.

My Favorite Treats:

Around the block with a stop at the park.

Gamine: everywhere. Thalie is sick in the car. The cats nowhere!

Calm music for them to lesson when we have to leave them.
