wolves are the largest of the canine family, they are meat eaters and can range in size considerably depending on were they live, some wolves fully grown are about 50lbs while others can be as large as 200lbs,they can range from 41/2 feet to 6 feet, this measurement is taken from the tip of the nose to the tail, these animals have gained a bad reputation living out therein the wild but saying that these creatures are very intelligent, they live in groups known as packs, they have thick fur which helps them to survive in different climates,They are found to live in many places throughout the northern hemisphere, however the amount of roaming space continues to get smaller over the years
they hunt in a group which enables them to catch large prey, other than hunting for food wolves are found to be not aggressive animals, they will ofcourse fight with other animals or each other to protect their pack, the biggest threat is to the wolve more than it is to humans or other animals, the average lifespan for a wolf living in the wild is around 6- 8 yrs but some wolves in captivity can live to the ripe old age of around 16yrs
sad but true many species of wolves today are considered to be an endangerd species, but in some areas they have been protected to stop extinction happening, i personally think more action should be taken to save these beautiful wild animals before its too late
