Puppy Love

I just got a new puppy. She is soo playful! She also doesn't really get along with other dogs. She jumps on other dogs and everything. Is that normal? It's about 2 months old and I would LOVE to have some tips about taking care of it. My parents think that the puppy will teach me and my brother responsibility and stuff. She looves playing with her water! Does anyone know a good way to train it? My cousin says not to play tug-of-war with it because it encourages it to bite. And it kinda already bites, but only strangers.

This age is critical. It is important to properly socialize the dog. I recommend taking the dog to basic obedience training. This helps to socialize the puppy with other dogs and helps you build a better master relationship. The dog must understand that biting cannot be tolerated and you should indicate your disapproval without any physical recourse. Larger dogs that bite can be a huge liability--one that could cost you a lot of money. I do not see a problem with tug of war. I have never heard that it encourages them to bite, however I have heard that if you let them win the dog could take this as a sign of superiority.
