Cornell University has live-action video online, designed to give pet owners a complete overview of cancer.

Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine now has a live-action video online designed to give pet owners a complete overview of cancer, and the video includes how pets get cancer, early detection strategy, diagnosis and treatment. Owners can learn how pets undergo radiation, chemotherapy and other advanced treatment options.

The video is part of the web site Partners in Animal Health available at http://partnersah.vet.cornell.edu.

The Cornell veterinarians who helped create the Web site include:
• Margaret McEntee, DVM, DACVIM, DACVR(RO),
• Dennis Bailey, DVM, DACVIM (oncology), and
• Jodi Korich, DVM

Many owners remain unaware of the modern treatments available today for pets' common medical problems, such as cancer and diabetes. Cornell wishes to change this perception by sharing reliable, comprehensible information put together by its renowned veterinary experts. The online resources will help empower pet owners to make informed decisions about their pet's medical care and to take a preventative approach in maintaining their pet's health.
