I'm So Proud!!!

My son goes up for his first at bat of the season. The bases are loaded. He swings... strikes out. He swings again, strikes out. The coaches are yelling, "Brandon, don't swing at every ball. Wait for the right one." The third ball is thrown, he swings... BOOOOOOOM! It flys waaaaaay out into the outfield. I thought it was going to go over the fence, but it didn't. He made it to first base and brought home two of his team mates.

The coaches wife was sitting next to me and said, "That shut them up!" (Meaning the coaches who were telling him to stop swinging at everything.) Another mother sitting next to me said, "We need power hitters like that on our team." I was soooo proud!

He only got up to bat once after that, and the other team's coaches were motioning for their outfielders to back up. He did hit that time too, just not as far.
