That is the same kind of bird I lost after 25 years!( Monk Parakeat) or they call them a something Parrot,,I have foregot the other name! It will come to me -I think its Half Moon Parrots?They are great talkers,but they have thing about pulling thier fethers out,if they are not mated or nerves or diet? my sister had one also,and we both had no fether birds? Mine needed to have a mate,,or just a man in the house,and when I left the man I was living with she never grew them back,I had to get her a bird bed roll,and she loved it along with a heating pad in the winter! In some states they run ree and nest in the parks ,and in towers,both in Chicago,and Louisiana,and can live to be 50! Great birds,and not the mess of a big parrot!
