My Horse Harmony

i am very sad today. about a month ago i got a 18year old horse and named her harmony. i was so happy when i got her. on her back leg she favored it and we took her to take lessons on her and noticed that she was lipping on her right back leg. so we called the vet and he said that harmonys back leg has arthits and her nee bones were rubbing againts each other. he also said we could never ride her again and sooner or later she would be in a lot of pain and if she layed down it would hurt her to… Continue

She could have Cushings, which would make a difference in what kinds of things you should feed her. She might need to be on a Sr. feed or perhaps you could add some oil to her feed for extra calories.

You really need the guidance of your vet before you do anything else though.
