Was the arrival of your Pet Kid(s) planned or is there a story?

Tex chose me..... My friend's son had a litter of purebred pit bulls and the proceeds of selling the puppies would go to the gravestone of her late husband. As much as I wanted to help, I live in a high rise and having a dog would be very difficult and the dog would have no place to run around, etc. Well, the one that I first saw (that had a "T" marking on her neck) and I had said "If I were to get one, that would be her, and I would name her "TEX" because I'm from Texas.... Well, "Tex" was sold to someone, but they had to return her because their insurance policy would not allow pit bulls. She was the last one available at that point - so I told my friend "Just give me the dern dog!" ...... and now I cannot imagine life without her!!!
