Don't really know the birthdays of either one of the pet kids. Both were February rescues though. Meowth I rescued on Feb 3rd '07, and Mashka on Feb 22nd '08

Meowth- A sweet and loving 3 year old kitty who loves to play with bottle caps, chase and cuddle Mashka, and have his butt scratched with his hair brush. Very whiny when wants attention, but also super cuddly, loves to give kitty kisses. Shy of strangers, even other animals, runs away from new cats or kittens, but hisses at dogs.

Mashka- Prefers to keep to herself during the day, plays with Meowth occasionally. Likes to chase him around and show off that she's tough. Very clever, and smart. Hates all other animals besides Meowth. Tries chasing them off when they come over to visit. At night becomes a complete kitten-- curls up under the blankets, suckles on the blankets, kneads, and purrs.

Was the arrival of your Pet Kid(s) planned or is there a story?

Meowth I met Nov 28th, and took care of him for months while he lived outside as a stray. After the first 2 weeks his kitty mom and sister disappeared. He warmed up a lot to me and became my baby. My mom refused to take him, so I would visit him every day and sit outside in the cold for 3 hours each day with him. Finally on Feb. 3rd '07 my mom met him. Said to him in Russian "if you follow me then we'll take you." Then she walked away and called him. He got out of my lap and ran to her car. After that he came home and has been living happily indoors ever since.

Mashka I met Feb. 22nd '08. She was sitting in an empty air conditioning vent at an old apartment complex where I used to live. Because it was freezing cold, and because I volunteer with an animal rescue I chased after her trying to catch her. Cornered her inside an apartment building, she scratched and hissed until I grabbed her, wrapped her in my coat and left. Suddenly she was purring and cuddling. I fed her, and contacted the leader of our rescue. We began to look for a home, and till then she was my foster baby. When we got her she was deathly thin, and would have died of hunger in a week or so if we didn't take her. The tips of her ears fell off from frost bite, and she was very frightened of others. The first home she went to they were 100% sure they'd keep her, but then the grandkids came over and she attacked them. The second home she harassed the other cat constantly. Finally after 2 months of her harassing Meowth and scaring him, they became friends. They would sleep together, and eat together. They became little love bugs. Every time we took her to an adoption event he would cry without her, so finally we became foster flunkies and adopted her.
