Was the arrival of your Pet Kid(s) planned or is there a story?

Kirby was left at the pound by people who got him to entertain their Rottweiler. The Rottweiler didn't like him, so they just dropped him off there. My co-worker was looking for a companion dog for the dog she had already and wanted to save a dog who was destined to be put to sleep. So, she saw Kirby and took him home. Her dog, Hercules, didn't like Kirby so she was distraught. I offered to come over and meet him, and it was love at first sight! Kirby and I have been together ever since.
