Madison Jane (6yo. Lhasa-Cocker) was adopted at a shelter when she was just a little puppy. She is now six years old. She has moved all over the country with me, but never complains.
Amber (5yo. Tri-Color Cat) was a cat that I fostered from Gainesville Pet Rescue. She obviously had a tough time in life. She attacked everyone and trusted no one. After 3 months, she would let me pat her on her terms. The shelter finally asked me to adopt her because no one else would take her. Five years later, she is still a little testy, but she really shows affection.
Genna (3yo. White Cat) was another foster from GPR. She was rescued from Hurricane Katrina. She was just born when Katrina hit. This cat was a love-bug from the very beginning. GPR gave the owners 5 months to track down their pets. No one came for Genna. As soon as she was put up for adoption, I adopted the little cherub.
Kitten (formerly Ziek) (2yo Black & White Cat) was adopted when she was just a kitten. She is a free spirit. She is an indoor cat, yet you only get to see her from time to time. She does silly things like getting trapped in the box spring, but she keeps you on your toes. She was originally named Ziek so that my husband could not name our son that. You cannot very well name your child after your cat. Sneaky, yet successful.
Casanova (3yo Grey Tiger Cat) was rescued locally. He is sort of lost in his own little world. It is almost funny. He doesn't understand the girls he lives with. He lacks the coordination that most cats have. He is ungraceful and far from elegant. You can almost see the embarrassment in his face when he ungracefully falls off something, but you just have to love him.
