Was the arrival of your Pet Kid(s) planned or is there a story?

Both kitties were planned, Taffy is 17 (yes that's right) and Vixi was a Mother's Day gift to me from our eldest granddaughter 5 years ago. Our first hamster died of wet tail, despite the vet's care, and my husband wanted a BIG hamster. He chose one... yep, pregnant. We have kept her and her babies, and they are loved unconditionally.
