Was the arrival of your Pet Kid(s) planned or is there a story?

He was planned. Our family put our German Shepherd BeBe (RIP) down in 2000. Being an apartment dweller, I knew the best pet for me at this point in life would be a feline. I researched cat breeds extensively then picked a no-kill shelter in Ontario, CA.

So in 2004, I ran across Pumpkin's profile on Pet finder. Checked him out in person and brought him home. The rest is history. I'm generally a dog person, but I really do like cats as well. And my boy is a stereotype breaker if ever there was one.

I do hope to have a medium or large dog again one day when I have better living arrangements.
