I just don't get it. If someone knows what this looks like besides cancer, TELL ME... I'm desperate. He has a ton of energy and looks like this, but he's not hyperthyroid. What could do this to him if not Cushings, Addisons, Diabetes, Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism or Pancreatic Deficiency ?

Lacey...I was just wondering....Have these symptoms only shown up after he was neutered? i am beginning to wonder if there were complications related to his neutering. It's not unheard of . Let me know...Hugz to ya

In the pics he doesn't look as bad as he does in person, but no one else seems to notice either. It's just that when he was younger, he had a TON of muscle. He was a brick. Even the vets notice a very big change. Interesting you should say that, because the closest thing I can come to is Hyperthyroidism. Though rare, he has all of the symptoms. The vet said his thyroid function was a level 3, which is apparently on the high end of normal... So that WOULD make his metabolism a little bit high... but when I feed him anymore food he gets fat around his waist and that doesn't go along with the other symptoms. Then again, apparently that happens when they're neutered. I'm really glad you said this because mum and I were both debating it too. The vet seems to think his thyroid is fine, but I'll try to get him retested to be sure.

I have nothing to compare it to Lacey. I wouldn't know anything was wrong from looking at the pics, believe it or not. He does look sad, poor little guy. And you're saying he has been checked for all of the above? I think I would have him retested for thyroid problems. Not sure why I say this, but just felt it.
Love,
B
