looking around today and visiting my page on petbrags of Raven and Dakota, I realize I no longer feel sorrow, I now feel change everything around us weather it's the season of another person, animal or thing that has left us is a sign of change, still missing my Raven and having Dakota is all apart of change. Life is about changes, every single day when it's sunny, rainy, windy or stormy it's comes to change things. New york a few days ago had a tornado, trees fell, cars got damage and so on. Now after the storm thing seem so peaceful it's like a seen out of the movie I am legend. Early in the morning when their aren't many people out in the street. I had to sit down me and cody and look around, while watching the squirrels play, I only think at that time life isn't too bad and this is just apart of change it was peaceful and whimsical after the storm and if the birds and squirrels can still go on then why can't I, taking a lesson from nature we have to embrace our changes in life and some where they will find a way to embrace us. I smiled and moved on, me and cody, walk home......Just think for every thing we miss, theirs a reason why life changes.

I still miss my raven, it took 2 years before I got Dakota, since then he has reminded me of how much work it take in keep our pet children happy, healthy, and safe. life with dakota is good and I find myself still thinking about my raven from time to time, maybe because she knew the rules. however, dakota's personality is so different I'm learning how stop comparing the two first he's a boy and she's a girl for starter's, second his bigger and more playful and can get to things. he keeps me thinking all the time on what he will do next, we are learning. Im always being reminded that kodi is kodi no matter what. life is grand and we are happy and it make me warm in side when kodi our shiba does what most shiba inu won't do like kiss me and lay at the bottom of my feet, talk to me and stand on his leg's like a 3 year old human child, when im cooking, follow me and play with me, we are doing fine. dakota is a blessing and challenging at time, but I love him just the same. love my raven still , that will never change she has a place in my heart her very own place and kodi has his.

No one is perfect. Not me - not anyone I know. But we try to do the best we can. Recently someone asked me, "What are the most common mistakes that pet owners make with their pets?"

This is an interesting question. There are mistakes I see all the time - some big, some small.

Here are 6 common mistakes that came to mind. I thought I'd share them with you in hopes that we can prevent a problem with your pet.

1. No Yearly Exam . Pet owners who don't have a yearly examination done on their pets are making a big mistake. Yearly exams are important and can isolate potential health problems early while they are still treatable.

2. No ID Tag . Many pet owners don't keep a current ID tag on their pet or embed a microchip. They don't realize how important this is until often it is too late. Tags and microchips provide the BEST information so your lost pet can be returned to you. At the clinics we often see pets brought in without a tag or microchip for identification. Without identification, many of these pets are never reunited with their owners and are either put up for adoption or euthanized.

3. Allow the dog to run free . This is a problem for many reasons. Dogs that are permitted to "run free" often get into trash, ingest toxins, are traumatized by being hit by a car or get into a fight with another animal. This can be prevented by keeping a dog within a fenced yard or on a leash.

4. Skimping on nutrition. A good quality food is important to dogs. Skimping on nutrition can be a problem. Dogs need a high quality balanced diet that is formulated to meet their life-stage needs.

5. Don't monitor their pets. It is important to monitor dogs on a daily basis. Dogs are so good at hiding their illnesses that often by the time we notice - the disease may be quite advanced. For this reason, it is important to look for early signs of problems. Monitor your dog's urinations, defecations, attitude and appetite every day.

6. Lastly, many pet owners don't pay attention to toxins and medications in their homes that may be accessible to their dog. It is important to dog-proof your home to ensure your dog can't get into common toxins such as rat poison, anti-freeze, medications (dog and human) or the trash.

Hill's® Science Diet® is a very good quality food that will meet all your dog's nutritional needs. You can choose the right food to meet the specific needs of your pet. It can really make a healthy difference in your dog's overall health. I know that feeding a high quality diet costs a bit more, but in my opinion it is an investment in your dog's well being. I know that in the current economy saving money is a top priority, so I want to make you aware that

tomorrow is halloween and raven did care for it very much, every time there was a knock at the door she would bark like crazy, till the point I had to put a sign out side the door letting people know that I was sorry, but there won't be any candy given out. so raven would clam down, this went on for many years from the time she started this protest against halloween. Well in memory of raven I won't give out candy this year. sorry maybe next year. :) :) I'll take a bit for her. with love mom

I don't know what it is , but all of a sudden I felt the need to drop in . It's like if raven would feel as if I am thinking about her, as funny as it may sound but for a moment it feel I have been neglecting her page and putting her a side or something it feel strange . I wonder if this is a another stage mourning or just missing her still? hi raven anyway still love you.

hello, raven today is keema birthday and also I ran across a lady that is selling yokie pom mix 7 weeks old I couldn't help but to go over and see them and again my aaaaaaaaaaaah sound came out , so I pick a few of them up one by one and gave them the kiss sound only one of them responded, therefore I'm thinking maybe I should purchase one the lady is asking $400.00 for them. But now I'm thinking if I'm ready for sure cause they won't have papers and no free exam like you did and no other will come with the perks you came with , so this thought is holding back a little because I purchase their won't be no return tough thinking about you and miss your face kissing up to mines. I just don't know, I just don't know. I know for sure I might not have a lot of time if I want the right one wow, buying is not the problem the long term is, I just don't know?

today, I noticed that I don't drop in on petbrags as offend as I use to , but I still think about my raven ,so today I dropped in to release some thoughts I have going threw my mind and heart about raven still wishing she was here to enjoy the warm days a head, but you know the days are a little lighter with her I know she is in a better place . I gave away her things to another dog who could use them like her pj, food, a gate, and other items little by little I run across items and I give them away but I still hold on to her toys and few other things I can't depart with yet. thinking about raven and smiling at every animal I see Haaaaaaaaaa I say and making friends every where I go as if raven was walking beside me. love mom.
