Saying Your Final Goodbyes....

It is never easy for us to say goodbye to one of our beloved pets, but it is even harder, when due to disease, or terminal illness, we must help them cross the Bridge sooner than we want them to.

I had to do that with my cat Petey, who at 14 was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease...we took him to Penn Veterinary Hospital in Phila.  They ran tests, and determined there was nothing more they could do...we were able to take him home, and feed him through a tube to his stomach.  He was comfortable for his last week...and when we came home one night from being out at a family members' home for dinner he was gone.

We had to put our Rusty down...as he was also ill. We took him to the vet...and held him while the Dr who knew all of our cats well gave him his injection.  He slowly fell off to sleep...and he was gone.  I cried for days...as did my then husband. It is only some comfort knowing they are now in their Heavenly place...out of their misery, and waiting for us so we can once again be a family again.

We love and miss you...and will see you again at The End Of The Rainbow.

I am sorry for your losses. Know how it is when you lose one. I had plenty of pets who had passed on these past years. 

I really do miss them all and hope to see each one when it becomes my time.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments...yes, it is hard, but the thing is that they are never forgotten.  I definitely will have a menagerie waiting for me when I get to the Rainbow Bridge myself...but I better have a ton of cat food, litter boxes, and cat beds too...lol!
