Hi guys,It's tempting to think that cornmeal, grits or other expanding foods will do what you describe but I'm sorry to say it's just an old tale. Ants cannot eat solid food-- take a look at their skinny neck and you'll see why. They do eat solids…Continue

I'm glad to join this group.  My Mom and I are really into flowers.  Mom is 92 and will be 93 in September.  She won the Alexandria, VA City Gardening Award for her flowers.  I also love flowers, like lilacs, snow ball bushes, hydrangeas of all colors, roses, etc.  Mom loves gardenias.  It was a favorite of her mother.

Hi ladys, i wish i had a green house as nothing really survives the hot house and then of coarse once they pop thre the oils u need to transplant them and i seem to kill everything in the house, so we get plants pretty cheap from the nursery. well karl had the brite idea to plant 2 of the cherry tomato plants and its huge, despite to my horror, i found it on the ground it had fallen off the table lol, and it was so heavy as i watered it allot, i dragged it and tied it to the fence. weather is getting so cold so fast i doubt i will get much fruit from it this year. But my pepper plant is amazing i will take a shot of it, as we were shocked at how much one plant can produce. i will takes some shots.. off to do chores and thanks so much for joining. i wish i could change the back ground to a giant flower lol!!! all my love to you flower goddesses. oh and weeds yes i have those too. its never ending story xxoo wanda

Hi, Thanks for bringing the garden group to pet brags. Wow your tomato plant is big, ours did not do well this year we bought plants and next year will start them from seed again. They do much better when I start them from seed. The weather has not been the greatest hope we have better weather next year as we love home grown tomatoes, Yumm. Thanks for all the great information! Gladys
