I'm so sorry for your loss, Meghan. Over the years - as I posted on another thread - I've lost several cats and dogs and two horses. Horses live a lot longer than dogs and cats, but you're never ready to let them go any more than your precious kitties and doggies.

I don't think you ever "get over it." The acute pain lessens and you deal and get on with your life. But your buddies at the Rainbow Bridge are forever with you, in your heart and memory.
