White Lake Pet Supplies Plus seeks homes for 100 cats May 31 – June 2; Hosts free wellness exams for all pets June 2

Pet Supplies Plus in White Lake is hosting a 100-cat Adoption Event May 31 - June 2 with the hopes of finding good homes for 100 or more cats and kittens.  The store is also hosting a Pet HealthCare Fair with free wellness exams for dogs and cats and free barbecued hot dogs for customers on June 2.

 100-Cat Adoption Event/ May 31 – June 2

Anyone looking for a new furry family member will have their pick of more than 100 cats and kittens of all different colors and breeds and all looking for good homes from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 31; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 1; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 2.  

The cats are all from Oakland Pet Adoption Center in Auburn Hills and are available for adoption for $57.50 which includes a health check, vaccines and spay/neuter.  All adopters will also get a free goodie bag.

Pet HealthCare Fair – June 2

 Families with dogs and cats can get free wellness exams for their pets at the White Lake Pet Supplies Plus courtesy of Union Lake Veterinary Hospital from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 2.  Pet owners can also purchase vaccines including distemper, rabies and heartworm for $20; feline leukemia test for $35 and a full pet health screening for $35.  Microchipping will be done for $35. Dog licenses will also be available.

Only healthy pet will be seen on a first come, first served basis; appointments are not being taken.  If you have an ill pet, call 248-363-1508.                                           

Customers can enjoy free barbecued hot dogs grilled by White Lake Police Chief Ed Harris from noon to 3 p.m. , Sunday, June 2.
