Hello everyone. It's that time of year when lots of you humans celebrate the holiday you call Christmas. I know it's a very special time of year for you, and I must say we at Harry's house love it too. On Christmas morning, Harry and family all exchange presents and then, all of us dogs get called into the sitting room, where our presents are also laid out for us. Harry usually says something like "Go Tilly" and I pounce on the packages and using my paws and teeth I open up mine and all the dog's presents. (None of the others have ever quite mastered the art of present opening). There's always something nice and tasty or something new to play with in those gifts and we all love our treats on Christmas day. Some people say to Harry that Christmas is nothing to do with animals, but isn't it true that there were animals present at the birth of Jesus? Harry has told me all about the first Christmas and he thinks it's only right that me and the pack should be with the family to help celebrate this special day.
On a more serious note I just want to remind everyone that this is also the time of year when many of my less fortunate cousins find themselves alone and unhappy, as I was before being rescued and finding a home with Harry. Christmas doesn't stop the cruelty and the neglect that so many dogs, not as lucky as me Harry's pack, have to endure, so please, spare a thought for them at this time. I still remember being shut outside in the cold and shivering and feeling hungry while the people in the house enjoyed themselves and never gave me a thought, and that's nothing compared to what some poor doggies have to endure.
Also, the people who work in the rescue sanctuaries will be working hard all over Christmas to care for those abandoned, abused or neglected dogs who've been lucky enough to find shelter with them. I want to say a special Happy Christmas to all of them and especially those at The Mayflower Sanctuary who helped save me and find me a lovely home with Harry and his family.
Harry has told me that lots of people buy puppies at Christmas and then get bored and fed up with them soon afterwards and a lot of those poor little furbabies end up in rescue sanctuaries (if they're lucky). Please tell your human friends that puppies are not a 'thing' they are a living, feeling animal and shouldn't be treated as just another gift to be given and cast out when the novelty has worn off after the holidays.
I also want to send a big Thank you to everyone who has bought my book, Tilly's Tale. It's still doing very well and I hope it will help people to understand just what some of us dogs go through before finding our forever homes. Thanks to everyone who has visited my blog and left lovely messages for me and the members of my pack. I love and appreciate every one of them.

Sorry I don't look so good in the Christmas hat. It kept falling off when Harry tried to get some nice pictures of me, but I'm sure you understand that my doggie head isn't quite made for such things...hehe He's even included some of the funny ones that didn't quite come out right, it's okay to have a laugh at me!
So, before I go I'll just say a big HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you all, from me, Dylan, Charlie, Penny, Molly, Snoopy, Cassie, Chloe, Sophie, Dexter, and little Sally, and of course, from Harry himself!
