Hello everyone,
I'm sure you'll all remember little Sheba, our latest pack member who Harry and the family rescued between Christmas and New Year. You may recall that she's been terribly starved and all her little bones were showing when she first came to live with us, and she had hardly any fur on her body. She'd even been chewing her own tail, she was so hungry, and it was constantly bleeding and Harry had to put some special cream on it twice a day to help stop the bleeding and help it to heal. She was also very wary of the rest of us dogs and didn't really know how to react to us and she was a bit snappy with us all at first. Well, as you human people say, miracles can happen. What a difference a few weeks have made to our new friend.
As you can see from the latest photographs, Sheba has changed so much from the emaciated little waif who Harry first brought to our home. she's put on weight, her fur is almost all grown back and she has the most beautiful brindle coat. Her tail no longer bleeds and is even starting to grow fur again near the tip so hopefully it will be all better again. She still doesn't have a lot of 'meat' on her breast but that will come in time. She's also learning to play and make friends and just loves to play with a ball, just like I do! As you can see in one of the photos, she loves to make herself all snug and cozy at night with Sophie, Sally and Chloe. What a crush! It's a good job that's a very big bed.
So, here she is, and I hope you can see the difference in her. Just in case you didn't see her when she first came to us, I've asked Harry to include the first picture he took on her first afternoon with us and that's the first one you'll see below:
Oh, and that's me 'on guard' at the top of the stairs at the top of the post...hehe

Lots of love to everyone
