Extensive observations have confirmed that elephants indeed remember injuries and hold grudges against their abusers. For example, one study of African elephants found that the animals react negatively to the sight and scent of clothing worn by members of a nearby Maasai tribe of people [source: BBC News]. Why the sour grapes? Maasai men spear elephants as a customary display of their masculinity.

The "horns" on a giraffe's head are called ossicones. They are made of bone incased in skin. They are connected to the skull in adults, but they lie flat in newborns to facilitate easier birth. When the giraffe is born, the ossicones are made of cartilage (the stuff that gives your nose and ears structure). Slowly this cartilage is replaced with bone, starting from…

The kittens have a new home as of last week.
We kept the black and white 1 and his name is Felix
They are settling well in to their new home and Felix is a bit lonely without them but I keep him company for as much of the day as I can!
I am going back to school next week so I will only see him in the mornings and evening during the week.
I suspect that Philly is pregnant! and I think Tom, her brother, is the dad.
Philly has a very small appetite so she is rather thin…

The meaning of
Family does not restrict itself simply to humans.
The
true meaning of a family is colorful, fun, warm, fuzzy, scaly, soft,@ winged
And always, always without judgement. It is loyal beyond what this
Earth knows.
I do not believe humans are the superior animal because "I"
have proof and facts of a lifetime that humans have much more to learn from animals.Human behavior compared to animal behavior is pathetic in my eyes. Human…

Bon-Bon has always been naughty but in a cute way! This morning when I woke up she chased me down stairs and then up stairs again and then I had to hide in the bathroom so she wouldn't find me! Once I managed to sneak out she was under the duvet of my parents bed and would paw at your hand to try and catch it, my mom was doing this with her for a while then Bon-Bon got tired and fell asleep under the duvet and on the pillow
almost as if she was human
