Should staffies be banned from the UK?

Pit bull's, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Braziliero are all dogs that are banned form the Uk. Some people have been asking should staffordshire bull terriers be banned too?

my staffie is lovely and I think if a dog attacks some one it has a reason its not the dogs breed that tells it to go out and fight.. Its the owners, the way the dog was treated and what the circumstances are when the attack takes place.
My staffie was attcked by a colley the other week. She flipped the colley over and tryed to walk away but the colley carried on trying to attack. That was a dog that is not counted as dangerous. The problem was it wasnt on a lead and it was a young dog that hadnt been trianed well anough yet.
Its not the breed, Its the circumstances!

Dogs should not be banned, owners should be held responsible for their dogs and it should be mandatory that all dog owners take an obedience class with their dog. It's not the breed that is harmful, it's the owner's and their negligence.

None of these dogs should be banned. It like saying that americans are not allow in brazil per sec. This is really pathetic. It the owners that should be held responsible not the breed.
