It never takes too long to fall in love with a pet! And the pets who need love and a home are so many! Back in my country, Romania, besides my work, I was helped by a neighbour, a ver animal lover, to rescue the homeless dogs; and believe me, they were so many at that time! After my daughter left for US, I just took off the carpet in my apartment, and I started to rescue puppies, mommies with puppies or pregnant females. I was lucky for being a member in a Dog Asociation, so, even the beasts from the building tried to argue with me, they had no chance! It was a time when I had 13-14 dogs in my apartment, and I found homes foe them. Besides the inside dogs, they were 3 females in the parc, where we were walking our dogs, all three of them peregnant, and they had the puppies the same time. Now, two of them were sharing the house I made for them, the other one was hidden under the Universitu building, but, anyway, there were maybe 20 puppies the same time. Before work, on a harsh winter, I was going with two big pots with warm soup, beef, bred, for them, especially the puppies who started to eat by themselves. I will never forget all these puppies running toward me when I was calling.....When they grew up, the catchers started to come to the parc to get them; I payed every time good money to them not to take them, and finally I found a big heart between the catchers, and I payed him to take the females for neuter them and bring them back.....These rescued dogs have their album with the pictures, this is all what it was left after I came to US. My point is that it doesn't need to be a breed for loving you unconditionally! In fact, Pepper is my first pure breed I have; Tess was mixed between schnauzer and poodel. Adopting a homeless pet is the best thing we can do, and the best decision!
